I’m Steve, I’m a running coach. I’ve been running for well over a decade now, long enough to know that the journey isn’t always smooth. There are highs that lift you beyond what you thought possible, and lows that truly test your strength and resolve. But through every challenge, running has taught me that progress comes from training smart.

I have qualifications with United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy (UESCA); Running Coach, Ultrarunning Coach and Strength & Conditioning for Endurance Athletes. I also have qualifications with England Athletics; Coach in Running Fitness and Event Group Endurance Coach. With these qualifications I combine science-backed training principles with a deep understanding of how the body adapts and what drives endurance athletes.

I bring a wealth of experience in various aspects of running, from short sprints to gruelling ultramarathons. My approach is tailored to each individual, ensuring that every runner, regardless of their level, receives the guidance they need to excel. I strongly believe that if I cannot explain why I am asking an athlete to do something, that I shouldn’t be asking them to do it. It’s a philosophy which fosters a positive environment where athletes can learn, thrive and push their limits. With a strong focus on technique, endurance and recovery, I help the people I coach achieve their targets whilst enjoying the journey.

Alongside my own coaching business, I’m a volunteer coach at TeamBR, a local running club where I work with both youth and adult athletes. I also mentor other developing coaches, helping them build confidence and refine their own coaching skills. Being part of this community helps me stay grounded, inspired and constantly learning from the runners I train and the coaches I work with.

With years of experience in the running community, I have honed my skills to provide comprehensive coaching that addresses all facets of running. From strength training to nutrition advice, I cover all bases to ensure you are well-prepared for your running endeavors. My passion for the sport drives me to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques, allowing me to offer the best guidance possible.
